The Himachal Pradesh High Court has dismissed an appeal by the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) challenging the reinstatement of Anurag Thakur's eligibility to contest in the national body's elections.
The court's decision came after BFI President Ajay Singh contested the March 20 ruling. Singh aimed to prevent Thakur from participating due to his status as a non-elected member. However, the court did not grant Singh's request for a stay.
The ongoing legal tussle has delayed the elections, initially set for February 2. The situation has been exacerbated by the Indian Olympic Association's intervention and subsequent legal challenges involving conflicting court orders.
