Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has clarified that the proposed international cricket stadium in Jammu is not a project of the J&K government.
The stadium's foundation was laid by the JKCA back in March 2012, though it failed to take off. Omar reassured that his government is dedicated to infrastructure development in the region.
Ongoing under the Khelo India Scheme, other sporting facilities are being developed, including two completed projects: a synthetic hockey turf in Srinagar and another at K K Hakku Stadium in Jammu.
