As the Indian Premier League kicks off, Mohammed Siraj steps into a fresh chapter with Gujarat Titans, taking on the mantle of a lead pacer. Speaking on 'Backstage with Boria', Siraj shared insights into his role and strategies for this IPL season.

Siraj's primary aim is to strike early with the new ball, setting the stage by taking crucial wickets and building pressure. "When I bowl with the new ball, my role will be to take early wickets and put pressure on the opposition as quickly as possible," Siraj stated. If initial attempts are fruitless, he plans to pivot, focusing on dot balls to maintain pressure.

Adapting to the conditions at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Siraj finds opportunity in the venue's spacious dimensions, allowing for tactical short balls. As a senior player, he's also committed to fostering cooperation within the team, working closely with teammates like Prasidh Krishna and Arshad Khan to hone strategies and share insights on opponents.
