The Delhi Capitals' (DC) dynamic duo, Ashutosh Sharma and Mohit Sharma, achieved an astounding feat by securing a successful 210-run chase against Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Monday. Their efforts turned the tide for DC in what was described as one of the biggest comebacks in IPL history, transforming the match from a precarious 65/5 to a memorable victory.

DC faced a precarious situation at 192/9 post Kuldeep Yadav's departure, needing 18 runs to clinch victory. Ashutosh's command over Prince Yadav's deliveries, with boundary hits and an imposing six, slashed the remaining target to six in the final over. LSG captain Rishabh Pant's strategic missteps compounded pressure, and Mohit's single brought Ashutosh back to finish with style, securing the win with a towering six and only three balls left.

Creating IPL history, their 19-run partnership set a record for the highest stand achieved in a one-wicket win. Ashutosh's unbeaten 66 off 31 balls featured five fours and six sixes, paralleling Andre Russell's record. The match saw another turnaround with DC's bowlers initially struggling against LSG's formidable 87-run stance between Mitchell Marsh (72 off 36) and Nicholas Pooran (75 off 30). However, they rallied back, taking crucial wickets and curbing LSG to 209/8. The 'Player of the Match' award fittingly crowned Ashutosh's herculean effort.
