In a candid conversation ahead of the IPL 2025 season, Mohammed Siraj, now representing Gujarat Titans, shared insights into his rapport with skipper Shubman Gill. Siraj, known for his fiery bowling, hailed Gill as a 'bowler's captain' and attributed their strengthened bond to their shared Test debut against Australia in Melbourne 2020.
Speaking on the popular show Backstage with Boria, the pace bowler emphasized Gill's supportive leadership style, noting, "Shubman provides whatever the bowlers ask for and grants freedom to his bowlers. Off the field, our camaraderie extends beyond cricket, with regular dinner outings involving Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, and myself enhancing our team spirit."
