Chawrasia Returns to Hero Indian Open with Special Invite for 2025 Edition

Seasoned golf professional SSP Chawrasia is set to grace the Hero Indian Open 2025 edition, commencing Thursday at the DLF Golf and Country Club. The tournament, boasting a prize pool of USD 2.25 million, features Chawrasia among its top competitors.

Chawrasia, who holds the distinction of winning back-to-back titles in 2016 and 2017, is one of only three to achieve this feat. For the upcoming edition, a special invitation has been extended to him by Dr. Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, underscoring his significant impact on the event.

Chawrasia's impressive record includes being a runner-up four times and winning a DP World Tour event twice at the DLF location. The 46-year-old joins fellow past champions Keita Nakajima and Marcel Siem, alongside recent titleholders like Richard Mansell and Joshua Berry, promising a highly competitive tournament.
