The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the central contracts for its women cricketers, with star players like captain Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, and all-rounder Deepti Sharma maintaining their Grade A status.
In the Grade B category, players like pacer Renuka Thakur, all-rounder Jemimah Rodrigues, wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh, and opener Shafali Verma have retained their positions. Meanwhile, left-arm orthodox bowler Rajeshwari Gaikwad did not make it this season.
New additions to the central contracts include promising talents such as off-spinner Shreyanka Patil, fast bowlers Titas Sadhu, and Arundhati Reddy, among others in Grade C, as India gears up to host the ODI World Cup later this year in search of their first global victory.
