In a clear message to dispel rumors, Mahendra Singh Dhoni asserted that he is not the secret strategist behind Chennai Super Kings after passing the leadership to Ruturaj Gaikwad. Instead, Dhoni is striving to adapt his cricketing strokes to maintain relevance in the Indian Premier League.

After Chennai's four-wicket triumph over Mumbai Indians in their opening match, Dhoni discussed his new role in the team and Gaikwad's leadership style. "Players now opt for big strokes with classic shots," Dhoni said. "I, too, must adjust to stay pertinent," referring to India's improved wicket conditions.
