On Wednesday, the Indian senior women's football team faced a formidable challenge, succumbing 0-3 to Korea in their final match of the Pink Ladies Cup, held at the Al Hamriya Sports Club Stadium.
Korea, ranked 20th in FIFA standings, displayed their dominance early, leading 2-0 by halftime with goals from Choi Yoojung and Choi Dagyeong. Mun Eunju sealed the victory with a final strike in the 81st minute.
Although India tasted victory against Jordan in the opener, subsequent defeats to Russia and Korea underscored the challenges ahead. Crispin Chettri's squad showed resilience, yet struggled to match Korea's persistent offense.
