The Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) has taken a bold step forward by announcing an international wrestling camp for women, a collaboration with United World Wrestling (UWW) that marks a first for the institute. Scheduled to run from January 15 to January 30, 2025, at the IIS Vijayanagar facilities, the camp aims to bring together top-tier athletes and coaches from more than eight countries including Estonia, Mauritius, Kazakhstan, and South Africa.

This initiative is seen as a pivotal moment for the institute, as it aligns with their mission to boost Indian wrestling standards. 'This is a significant milestone for IIS and the wrestling community at large,' said Manisha Malhotra, President of the Inspire Institute of Sport. The camp promises to provide invaluable exposure to young Indian wrestlers, enabling them to learn from international elite athletes.

With a comprehensive schedule featuring warm-ups, psychological assessments, bout matches, and friendly competitions, the camp is tailored to deliver top-tier training. Notably, renowned wrestlers such as Medina Kuanyshbek from Mongolia and Aruuke Kadyrbek Kyzy from Kyrgyzstan, among others, are expected to participate, showcasing the level of expertise the camp aims to impart.
