Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli was discharged from a private hospital in Bhiwandi, Thane, on Wednesday afternoon after nearly two weeks of medical treatment. Kambli left the hospital at approximately 4 p.m.

Kambli, 52, was initially admitted to Akruti Hospital due to a urinary infection and cramps. However, doctors discovered brain clots during his stay. Upon his release, Kambli delivered a New Year's message urging the public to avoid alcohol and narcotics, warning that vices can ruin lives.

The former cricketer announced his intention to return to the cricket field soon. Dr. Vivek Trivedi, who treated Kambli, confirmed that he is now 'completely fit' but must observe certain precautions. A video of Kambli in a Team India jersey, holding a bat, emerged on social media, capturing public attention.
