Ruturaj Gaikwad Leads Maharashtra in Vijay Hazare Trophy

Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead the Maharashtra cricket team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The team, announced this Wednesday, comprises 16 members and will compete in matches against Rajasthan and Services in Mumbai on December 21 and 23. The previous season ended in a preliminary quarterfinals exit by Kerala.

Ruturaj Gaikwad is set to continue his leadership role for Maharashtra in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign. The team announced its 16-member squad on Wednesday for their initial matches.

The matches will be held in Mumbai on December 21 and 23, with Maharashtra pitted against Rajasthan and Services, as part of their Elite Group B fixtures.

Last season, Maharashtra faced elimination at the hands of Kerala in the preliminary quarterfinals, a defeat they aim to avenge with fresh strategies and a balanced squad.
