Courtney Winfield-Hill Joins England Women's Coaching Staff Ahead of Major Tours

Former cricketer Courtney Winfield-Hill is set to enhance the England Women's coaching team, joining as an assistant coach for the upcoming tour to South Africa and the pivotal 2025 Women's Ashes series. Currently coaching Brisbane Heat in the Women's Big Bash League, the 37-year-old will join the squad in South Africa following her commitments in Australia.
Winfield-Hill, who took part in the England Women coaching group during the Ireland tour in September and worked with Trent Rockets in this summer's Women's Hundred, has previously held positions as a regional academy coach for Northern Diamonds and assistant roles with Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Women's Premier League, as well as with England Women's A and U19 squads. As an accomplished pace bowler, she represented her home state, Queensland Fire, and Brisbane Heat as a player.
In light of her recent appointment with the England Women, Winfield-Hill expressed her pride in joining the setup. She praised the welcoming atmosphere and the investment by the ECB in developing her skills as a coach, adding, 'The development of the domestic game over the last five years has been brilliant to watch.'
