A fresh scandal has erupted within UEFA's ranks after a video emerged allegedly depicting English match official David Coote using cocaine.

According to a UEFA statement, a disciplinary inspector has been assigned to examine Coote's actions for potential breaches of regulations. As a result, Coote, who played a pivotal role as a video review specialist during Euro 2024, finds himself at the center of an intense investigation.

This is not Coote's first brush with controversy, having already been suspended for making offensive comments about Jürgen Klopp, prompting internal reviews by both the English match referees body and the English FA. UEFA has consequently removed him from upcoming national team assignments.
