Australian cricket star Glenn Maxwell has reached a significant milestone, becoming the third Australian and 16th player worldwide to score 10,000 runs in T20 cricket. This achievement came during the opening T20I against Pakistan in Brisbane.

Maxwell delivered a stunning performance, scoring 43 runs off just 19 deliveries, with five boundaries and three sixes. His aggressive innings, marked by a striking rate of 226.31, displayed his formidable capability as a batsman. To date, Maxwell has accumulated 10,031 runs in 448 matches and 421 innings, boasting an average of 27.70, including seven centuries and 54 half-centuries. His personal best in the format remains at 154*.

In the rain-affected encounter, Australia posted 93/4 in seven overs, with Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis making notable contributions. Pakistan, winning the toss, chose to field, limiting Australia's opportunities with standout bowling from Abbas Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah. Despite Maxwell's prowess, this year has seen him struggle, with only 423 runs across 19 innings.
