Former India pacer Munaf Patel has been appointed as the new bowling coach for Delhi Capitals in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
Stepping into a high-profile coaching role for the first time, the 41-year-old will collaborate with head coach Hemang Badani and the director of cricket, Venugopal Rao. Munaf succeeds James Hopes, who departed with head coach Ricky Ponting after IPL 2024.
Munaf, a seasoned cricketer with a career spanning 86 international matches and 125 wickets, was part of India's World Cup-winning squad in 2011. The Delhi Capitals have also retained four key players for the season and have a budget of Rs 73 crore for the mega auction in Jeddah.
