Anirudha Srikkanth, an ex-cricketer from Tamil Nadu and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), has commended Virat Kohli's leadership for India's extraordinary achievements in Test cricket abroad. Srikkanth attributes these triumphs to Kohli's confidence in his team, particularly the fast bowlers, whom he tasked with consistently delivering at 140 kph.

Kohli made his international debut in 2008, playing 118 Tests and amassing 9,040 runs with an exceptional average of 47.83. His batting prowess includes 29 centuries and 31 fifties, securing his spot as the fourth-highest scorer in Indian Test history. His peak performance, from 2016-2019, saw him accumulate 4,208 runs across 43 Tests at an impressive average of 66.79.

Under Kohli's captaincy, India enjoyed a robust period, securing three ICC World Test Championship (WTC) mace titles and qualifying for the WTC finals in 2021 and 2023. Kohli's leadership extended beyond mere statistics, instilling a disciplined, competitive spirit within the team, and fostering the development of a string bench strength, especially among fast bowlers. Srikkanth's recognition of Kohli's captaincy as 'amazing' reflects an appreciation of these multifaceted contributions to Indian cricket.
