The thrilling Day 8 of the 14th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship, hosted at Chennai's Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium, concluded with eventful wins from Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Haryana, Telangana, Goans Hockey, and Manipur, marking the end of the league phase of this intense competition.
In anticipation of the upcoming Quarter-Finals, Hockey Punjab is poised to confront Manipur Hockey. Following this, Hockey Haryana will battle it out with Hockey Maharashtra. In another high-stakes match, the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu faces off against Uttar Pradesh Hockey. The lineup is completed by an eagerly awaited clash between the Hockey Association of Odisha and Hockey Karnataka on November 13.
The day was highlighted by dominant performances in Pool matches. Notably, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu overcame Chhattisgarh Hockey with a decisive 3-1 win. Hockey Haryana showcased prowess with an 8-0 triumph over Hockey Mizoram. Other significant victories included Telangana edging out Hockey Himachal 5-4, while Goans Hockey and Manipur Hockey achieved emphatic victories against Hockey Gujarat and Assam Hockey respectively.
