On the seventh day of the 14th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship at Chennai's Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium, several teams showcased stellar performances to secure victories in their respective pool matches. Hockey Association of Odisha, Le Puducherry Hockey, Hockey Jharkhand, and Hockey Maharashtra all emerged triumphant.
The Hockey Association of Odisha delivered a resounding 9-0 victory over Hockey Arunachal in Pool E. Amandeep Lakra, Ajay Kumar Ekka, and Kerobin Lakra each scored twice, while Nilam Sanjeep Xess, Pratap Lakra, and Sudeep Chirmako added one goal apiece, highlighting Odisha's clinical domination on the field.
Meanwhile, Le Puducherry Hockey overpowered Hockey Rajasthan with a 13-2 victory. T. Arun Kumar, Mahendran P, and R Ranjith each netted four goals, complemented by Captain Veerathamizan V's late strike. In Pool G, Hockey Jharkhand ruthlessly defeated Hockey Gujarat 18-2, led by Atish Dodrai's quartet of goals. Completing the day's action, Hockey Maharashtra thumped Goans Hockey 5-0 with all their goals in the first half.
