Historic Selection: India's First Women's Futsal Team Camp Begins
India's inaugural women's futsal team camp for the AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers began in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The first-ever camp to choose players for the Indian women's futsal team commenced in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, marking a historic step towards India's participation in the AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers. The camp, which started on Monday, will continue until November 25, 2024.
Out of 121 players from 15 states, 25 were selected following a rigorous six-day trial. This selection is crucial as it leads up to the team's debut appearance in the AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers, set to take place in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from January 11 to January 19, 2025.
In Group B, India is scheduled to compete against the Kyrgyz Republic, hosts Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Pakistan. The probable squad includes players like Drishti Pant, Khushbu Saroj, and Ritika Singh, promising an exciting phase for Indian women's futsal.
