The Pakistan Cricket Board, led by Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, has initiated discussions with senior government officials on India's refusal to tour Pakistan for the 2024 Champions Trophy. This move has sparked reactions from Pakistan's cricket veterans, suggesting a potential boycott, aiming to address India's political motives in sports with international bodies.

Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, has initiated discussions with top government officials following the International Cricket Council's communication that India is unwilling to tour Pakistan for the upcoming Champions Trophy. Naqvi, who also serves as the federal interior minister, awaits guidance from Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif regarding the future course of action.
The PCB expressed dissatisfaction over India's stance, despite comprehensive security assurances for all visiting teams, including India. An official conveyed that Pakistan might incur financial losses if it chooses to boycott matches against India but is prepared for this eventuality.
Speculation grows within Pakistan that the government may direct the PCB to cease playing against India in any future ICC or multi-team events should the Indian government maintain its current stance. There are also considerations to raise the matter with the International Olympic Committee.
