In a triumphant display, Pakistan's cricket team secured a long-awaited series win on Australian soil, defeating the hosts 2-1 in the ODI series at Perth Stadium. This victory marks Pakistan's first such achievement in 22 years, with the Green Brigade bouncing back from a first-match loss to clinch the series.

The chase was set at a modest 141 runs, which the visiting side pursued with determination. Openers Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique laid a solid foundation with a strong opening partnership, reaching 50 runs in just over ten overs. However, the team faced a brief setback when both openers were dismissed in quick succession in the 18th over.

Undeterred, captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan steadied the innings, guiding the team to victory with an unbroken partnership of 58 runs. Earlier, the Pakistani bowlers had impressed by bundling out the Australian batting lineup for 140, with key contributions from Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah.
