GM Raunak Sadhwani brought an end to the winning spree of young talent Pranav V by securing a draw during the Challengers event at the Chennai Grand Masters.
Grandmaster Levon Aronian displayed an impressive performance, overcoming GM Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, and closed in on the leaderboard, just half a point behind GM Arjun Erigaisi.
Meanwhile, veteran chess player Vidit Gujarathi settled for a draw after a tough match against GM Amin Tabatabaei, and in the women's category, an all-women match concluded in a stalemate.
