Claudio Ranieri's departure from the world of football might be brief. The Italian coach revealed on Thursday that he would entertain the idea of returning to the sport if he received a national team offer. Having retired in May, Ranieri is famous for his remarkable achievement in guiding Leicester City to a Premier League title in 2016. His illustrious coaching career includes stints at high-profile European clubs like Chelsea, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, and Monaco.
"I confess that I want to put myself back on the line, even though I have already said 'no' to more than one offer," the 73-year-old legend shared with Italy's Corriere della Sera daily. Despite his eagerness, Ranieri mentioned that he would only consider a role with a national team, leaving club positions off the table.
However, Ranieri ruled out the possibility of taking over the Italian national team. He expressed his strong belief in a bright future under the current Azzurri manager, Luciano Spalletti, and showed no intention of stepping into the role himself.
