The Haryana Steelers marked their third consecutive victory in the intense Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 showdown against UP Yoddhas, held at the GMCB Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday night. The fiercely contested match concluded with a 30-28 scoreline in favor of the Steelers.
Both teams got off to a cautious start, but the Haryana Steelers quickly gained an upper hand. Their solid defensive strategies initially set them ahead with a 5-1 lead. However, a formidable Super Raid by Bharat briefly tilted the game in UP Yoddhas' favor. Undeterred, defender Sanjay's high five empowered the Steelers to reclaim the lead, heading into halftime with an 11-9 advantage.
The second half saw heightened efforts from UP Yoddhas as Bhavani Rajput tried to break through early with a series of quick raids. Yet, persistent efforts from Vinay, Naveen, and Sanjay steadied the Steelers' control over the match. In the crucial final minutes, as Vinay closed in on his Super 10, Mohammadreza Shadloui's strategic all-out move expanded their lead. Despite a valiant comeback from Gagan Gowda for the Yoddhas, scoring 9 points rapidly, the Steelers' dominance ensured a close win under pressure. (ANI)
