Pakistani cricketer Fakhar Zaman is likely to make a comeback to the central contracts and white-ball squad. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided on a reprimand after Zaman breached the players' code of conduct, opting against harsher penalties.

Sources say a committee will soon evaluate his reply to the show cause notice over a controversial tweet concerning Babar Azam. Zaman had been excluded from the central contracts and recent series against Australia and Zimbabwe.

Following discussions with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and captain Mohammad Rizwan, it appears Zaman will focus on recovering from a knee injury before December's South Africa tour. A fitness test will precede his potential inclusion in the squad.
