Veteran Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna, alongside his Australian partner Matthew Ebden, has advanced to the quarterfinals in the men's doubles event at the Paris Masters.

They secured a straight-set win over the Brazilian-German team of Marcelo Melo and Alexander Zverev, with scores of 6-4, 7-6 in just one hour and 16 minutes at the ATP 1000 tournament on Tuesday. The third-seeded duo dominated with an impressive 91 percent win on their first serves and delivered four aces.

In their road to victory, Bopanna and Ebden made a crucial break in the opening set and had opportunities to break in the second set, ultimately triumphing in a tiebreak. Earlier in the week, the pair had also clinched their spot in the season-ending ATP Finals.
