Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has outlined his retention strategy for the Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. He highlighted Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, Tristan Stubbs, and Jake Fraser-McGurk as key players for retention by the Delhi-based franchise.
During the IPL 2024 season, Rishabh Pant played a pivotal role by amassing 446 runs with an impressive strike rate of 155.40 over 13 matches. Axar Patel contributed both with the bat and ball, scoring 235 runs and taking 11 wickets, clearly showcasing his all-round capabilities.
Singh also recommended retaining Mitchell Marsh, and emphasized the importance of these players for the team's future success. The suggestions come as former cricketers Hemang Badani and Venugopal Rao join the Delhi Capitals' coaching setup, marking a new chapter for the franchise.
