Aaqib Javed is not a candidate for the vacant Pakistan white-ball head coach position, but he may become the chief of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore, sources revealed.
South African Gary Kirsten, who led India to World Cup victory in 2011, resigned on Monday after a fallout with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The PCB has appointed Test team head coach Jason Gillespie to temporarily manage the national side for the upcoming white-ball tour of Australia.
The PCB, contemplating major changes, is expected to name a new white-ball coach soon due to pending international commitments. The potential changes involve relocating Nadeem Khan and Usman Wahla to new roles, highlighting a strategic reshuffle to enhance the board's efficiency.
