Carlos Alcaraz, the Spanish tennis prodigy, has lauded Jannik Sinner, the world number one from Italy, asserting that Sinner is on 'another level' this year. Alcaraz's comments came as he prepared for his opening match against Nicolas Jarry at the Paris Masters.

Apart from a stellar year that saw Alcaraz clinch two major titles—the French Open and Wimbledon—along with an ATP Masters 1000 title at Indian Wells and an ATP 500 title in Beijing, he acknowledged Sinner's formidable achievements this year. Sinner, having won both the Australian Open and US Open, has claimed the top spot in the ATP rankings.

Alcaraz candidly shared his thoughts, 'My percentage of wins this year is really, really high, but Jannik is another level this year. He has earned over 91% of wins this year, a feat achieved by very few.' Despite being second in the rankings and beating Sinner thrice, Alcaraz admitted that his aim is consistent performance to finish the season on a high note, with a strong showing at the Paris Masters.

Focused on his goals, Alcaraz said, 'I want to finish second in the ATP Rankings. That means I have to play good tennis and be fresh mentally to achieve good results in the final tournaments.' Currently leading Alexander Zverev by 395 points in the ATP Live Race to Turin, Alcaraz hopes to improve his performance at the Paris Masters, where he has yet to surpass the quarterfinals.

Reflecting on past performances, Alcaraz conceded, 'I have not played good tennis here in this tournament. Perhaps by the end of the year, fatigue takes its toll.' However, he remains optimistic about his form and preparations, expressing readiness to deliver better results this year with a newfound understanding of what he needs to do to succeed.
