In a significant move, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has stepped in to advise the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to retract its controversial circular regarding fee hikes in Delhi's sports complexes. The announcement was made by the Raj Niwas on Tuesday.

The decision comes in response to strong feedback from sports complex members and public representatives, who raised concerns over the increased membership fees outlined in a recently issued circular by the DDA.

In a social media post on platform X, the Raj Niwas highlighted that the Lt Governor's intervention is geared towards ensuring affordable access to sports facilities across the capital. Earlier, a senior DDA official mentioned a new facility allowing residents to access all sports complexes through a single membership card had also been introduced.
