On the first morning of the final Test against Bangladesh, South African opener Tony de Zorzi stood just one run away from a half-century. The team reached a promising 109-1 at the lunch interval, with Zorzi confidently batting on 49. His innings included four boundaries and a six.
Teammate Tristan Stubbs contributed 23 runs to the scoreboard, reinforcing South Africa's strong start. The initial momentum came from a 69-run partnership between Zorzi and captain Aiden Markram, after electing to bat first. Despite a promising start, Markram fell for 33, succumbing to a delivery by Taijul.
