India's table tennis sensation, Manika Batra, showcased her exceptional skills to secure a commanding 3-0 win over America's Lily Zhang, advancing to the women's singles pre-quarterfinals at the WTT Champions held on Wednesday.

Following her historic run in the Paris Olympics, where she was the first Indian to reach the singles pre-quarterfinals, Manika dominated the match in under 22 minutes with scores of 11-4, 11-8, and 12-10.

The seasoned four-time Olympian Zhang mounted a valiant effort in the third game, but Manika's unwavering consistency and precision were insurmountable. In total, Manika claimed 34 points compared to Zhang's 22, excelling particularly on Zhang's serve by winning 14 points. Manika is set to face the victor of the match between Romania's eighth-seeded Bernadette Szocs and Thailand's Orawan Paranang.
