Rajasthan's Surinder Kumar Khorwal Shines at National T20 Disability Championship

In a remarkable display of determination and prowess, Surinder Kumar Khorwal, an all-rounder from Rajasthan with a prosthetic leg, emerged as the standout performer during the league stage of the fourth T20 National Physical Disability Championship held in Udaipur, which began on October 15.
Khorwal showcased his cricketing skills by scoring 300 runs across five innings, boasting an impressive strike rate of 157. His outstanding performance included two fifties and a century. Additionally, his left-arm spin contributed six wickets with an economy rate of 5.50. The 27-year-old, also known for his on-field conduct, is a strong contender for the 'Player of the Tournament' award, sponsored by the Shree Chatur Bhuj Foundation, which includes a car prize.
The championship, organized by the Differently-abled Cricket Council of India and supported by Narayan Seva Sanstha, has reached the quarterfinals. Participants included 24 state teams, competing across 60 matches at four scenic venues in Udaipur. Noteworthy performances were seen with 39 fifties, three centuries, and 355 sixes scored. The BCCI played a key role in supporting the event alongside Rajasthan Royals, which has been backing the DCCI since 2021.
