In a stunning display of athletic prowess, Olympian Joshua Cheptegei and Ethiopia's Alemaddis Eyayu claimed top honors at the Delhi Half Marathon. Cheptegei, clocking in at 59 minutes 46 seconds, secured triumph in the men's race, strategically overtaking early leaders Alex Matata and Nicholas Kipkorir, who completed the podium line-up.

The women's race saw an upset as Eyayu overtook Kenyan favorite Cynthia Limo in the final stages. Eyayu crossed the finish line in 68 minutes 17 seconds, maintaining Ethiopia's stronghold on the event. Despite trailing initially, Eyayu managed to build a decisive lead, clinching victory with a solid strategy and unwavering determination.

In the Indian Elite Men's race, Sawan Barwal outshone his competitors to claim gold with a personal best of 1:02:46, marking a significant win in his second consecutive podium finish. Meanwhile, Lili Das captivated audiences with her gold-winning debut in the Indian Elite Women's category, highlighting a day of remarkable achievements and fierce competition.
