England captain Ben Stokes is poised for a return to the team ahead of the second Test against Pakistan. After sitting out the first Test victory in Multan due to a hamstring injury, Stokes has reportedly been in robust training.

Stand-in captain Ollie Pope, speaking to Sky Sports, coyly hinted at Stokes' potential participation. "He's been training really well this week," Pope noted, adding that Stokes remains eager to take the field once more.

Stokes' absence was also felt during England's tours against Sri Lanka, as he missed the series during August and September. However, his recent performance against the West Indies suggests a promising return.
