Wimbledon is making a significant shift by replacing its traditional line judges with artificial intelligence starting in 2025, as announced by the All England Club on Wednesday.
The decision follows extensive testing of electronic line-calling technology during the 2024 tournament, and aims to improve accuracy in officiating while preserving the storied traditions of this iconic event.
Additionally, the tournament's singles finals will be rescheduled to maximize global viewership, with matches now set to take place after doubles finals on consecutive days.
