PT Usha, the President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), has expressed her confidence in Uttarakhand's preparations to host the 38th National Games. Following a meeting with Uttarakhand's Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, in Delhi on Wednesday, Usha stated her satisfaction with the state's readiness and enthusiasm for the event.

The 38th National Games are set to take place in Uttarakhand from January 28 to February 14, 2025. The full program could be released during the IOA's general assembly meeting on October 25, 2024. In addition to the National Games, the Winter National Games will also be held in the state, an opportunity that Chief Minister Dhami described as fortunate for Uttarakhand. He has extended an invitation to Usha to visit the revered Badrinath and Kedarnath temples during her stay.

Chief Minister Dhami assured that Uttarakhand is fully equipped to host the National Games, with significant infrastructure already in place. He promised a grand event, leveraging insights from other states that have previously hosted the games. Plans include superior arrangements for athletes and attendees, aiming to surpass past national game standards while boosting local morale and providing a platform for emerging talents.
