Juergen Klopp, the esteemed German football coach, has been appointed head of global soccer operations for Red Bull, according to an announcement on Wednesday. This marks his first professional venture since parting ways with Liverpool earlier this year.
Klopp, who ended a triumphant nine-year tenure with Liverpool, is set to begin his new role on January 1, 2025. "After nearly 25 years on the sidelines, this project excites me immensely," Klopp expressed in a public statement.
Despite the shift in roles, Klopp noted that his enthusiasm for football and its passionate community remains undiminished. Red Bull owns several prominent clubs, including RB Leipzig, where Klopp will now play a pivotal role.
