England's fast bowler, Brydon Carse, described the initial days of the Multan Test against Pakistan as demanding yet fulfilling. Despite the oppressive heat and challenging pitch conditions, Carse managed to claim two wickets, yielding 74 runs over 22 overs.

Carse spoke to Sky Sports, emphasizing the grueling nature of the match. He stated that despite the hard toil, the camaraderie among the team made it a rewarding experience. He recounted how fellow players, including Ben Stokes, reassured him about the difficulty of the conditions.

Pakistan, resuming at 328/4, amassed a daunting total of 556. Saud Shakeel's resilient 82 was pivotal, along with Agha Salman's brisk 104. England's response saw early turbulence as Ollie Pope fell for a duck. However, a recovery effort from Joe Root and Zak Crawley saw them end at 96/1.
