Former left-arm fast bowler RP Singh has advised caution regarding the introduction of India's pace sensation Mayank Yadav into Test cricket. Singh, speaking via JioCinema, highlighted the young bowler's impressive T20 debut against Bangladesh but urged for patience in developing his skill set.

Singh expressed concern over fast-tracking Yadav, who has played only one first-class match, into the national team. While praising his pace and accuracy, Singh suggested alternative selections for the Australian tour, recommending Akash Deep for his more suited bowling style.

Yadav, who recently caught attention for his control during his maiden international over, requires a structured development plan, Singh emphasized. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav also noted the importance of managing the pacer's workload to ensure long-term growth and effectiveness.
