In a candid discussion, six-time world champion boxer M C Mary Kom voiced her opinion on the crucial issue of weight management in competitive sports, referencing wrestler Vinesh Phogat's Olympic disqualification for exceeding weight limits.
Mary Kom, a seasoned athlete and mother of four, reflected on the stringent demands of weight control, saying it is a personal responsibility for each athlete. 'Weight is important, that is my responsibility,' she emphasized during a promotional event for Utkarsh Small Finance Bank.
Her comments also touched upon India's lackluster boxing campaign in Paris.
