The NY Lagos Strikers were fan favourites at the Zim Afro T10 Tournament, captivating spectators at Harare Sports Club. With key performances from Rassie van der Dussen, Najibullah Zadran, and Avishka Fernando, the team faced formidable opponents, including Cape Town Samp Army, Harare Bolts, Durban Wolves, and Jo Burg Bangla Tigers.

Head coach Chaminda Vaas expressed his gratitude, stating, "It's been a wonderful journey, and I appreciate the squad for showcasing their skills. We played good cricket but couldn't secure a qualifier spot," according to a Zim Afro T10 press release. Team owner Sagar Khanna praised the players' resolve, highlighting key performances that filled the team with pride.

Najibullah Zadran's explosive 43 runs against Durban Wolves and Rassie van der Dussen's unbeaten 81 runs against Jo'burg Bangla Tigers were standout moments. Avishka Fernando's 66 runs against Cape Town Samp Army, along with key breakthroughs by bowler Oshane Thomas, added further excitement.

CEO Shazmeen Kara emphasized the opportunities for international growth, noting the team's readiness for the Abu Dhabi T10. Despite their struggles in the eliminator match, coach Vaas and skipper Thisara Perera highlighted the importance of strong fielding and executing plans. The team is hopeful for a strong performance in the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10.
