Four Indian golfers are set to compete in the 2024 edition of the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship. The competition sees Krishnav Nikhil Chopraa, Vedant Sirohi, and Kartik Singh returning for a second consecutive year. Rakshit Dahiya completes the team as the only debutant.
Kartik Singh, just 14 years old, arrives with high confidence after playing in the Junior Presidents Cup in Canada, where he accumulated 1.5 points across various formats. Singh noted the invaluable experience he gained from this and other international tournaments.
Krishnav Nikhil Chopraa, who played college golf in the US and is the son of former India cricketer Nikhil Chopraa, expressed optimism about his game this year. The Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship, initiated in 2009, offers the winner a chance to compete in the 2025 Masters Tournament and The Open. Runners-up will qualify for The Open's Final Qualifying.
