Ace Indian driver Sai Sanjay clinched a commendable third-place finish overall in the GT4 category of the British GT Championship at Brands Hatch, UK. The young driver from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, showcased his talent in the Silver class, marking a historic achievement for Indian motorsport.
The 21-year-old Sanjay, who competed for British-based Motorsports team Race-Lab, qualified P4 overall and in class. His impressive performance in the final round of the championship also drew attention due to the upcoming participation of popular Tamil actor Ajith Kumar in the GT4 series next year.
Sanjay, the 2022 Indian National champion in the MRF Formula 2000, drove a McLaren Artura GT4 alongside British driver Callum Davies. This being his first year of international GT racing, Sanjay's podium finish is a rare feat for an Indian driver and has garnered significant accolades in the motorsport community.
