Odisha's Animesh Kujur cemented his reputation on Monday by winning the 200m dash final in a record-breaking 20.65 seconds, adding to his 100m gold from earlier in the competition. His stellar performance earned him the title of best male athlete at the Indian Open U23 Competition.

Kujur, 21, had clocked 10.40 seconds in the 100m dash on Sunday, showcasing his sprinting prowess.

Meanwhile, Gujarat's Devyaniba Zala won the women's 400m race with a time of 53.53 seconds and was named the best female athlete. Maharashtra's Sudeshna Hanmant Shivankar also made headlines by winning the women's 100m race in 11.76 seconds.
