Joan Mir and Luca Marini experienced a troublesome weekend at the Indonesian GP, with crashes halting their efforts to display the true potential of the Honda RC213V. The Repsol Honda Team's arduous work in preparation fell short, snatching hoped-for highs despite their intensive labor.
Mir's race was disrupted early at Turn 2, where he had to stand up and veer wide to dodge falling riders ahead. As he focused on regaining lost ground, a mishap at Turn One of lap 13 ended his race. Despite being unharmed, Mir was left contemplating what might have been in a race where only 12 riders finished.
Marini's encounter with bad luck came even quicker, involved in a multi-rider crash at Turn Two on the first lap. His performance had promised a result akin to the previous weekend, but he too faced disappointment. Uninjured, both riders now look ahead to the Japanese GP at Motegi Circuit, aiming for redemption.
