Ireland clinched a 10-run victory over South Africa in the second T20I match of the series, as highlighted by skipper Paul Stirling's post-match comments about needing an extra 15-20 runs on the scoreboard.

Stirling, who scored 52 runs off 31 balls at a strike rate of 167.74, noted that the Proteas constrained the Irish batsmen in the last 4 overs. Despite less dew at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Ireland managed to cross the finish line. Stirling expressed relief and optimism for the upcoming ODI series.

The match commenced with South Africa winning the toss and opting to bowl. Stirling and opener Adair combined for a 137-run stand, taking Ireland to a total of 195/6. South African bowler Wiaan Mulder claimed 4 wickets. In the chase, South Africa started strong but collapsed, finishing at 185/9.
