The Adair brothers, Ross and Mark, were instrumental in Ireland's 10-run victory over South Africa in the second and final T20I of the series in Abu Dhabi. South Africa, having won the toss, opted to bowl first on Sunday.

Opening for Ireland, Paul Stirling scored a quick 52 runs off 31 balls, featuring 7 fours and 1 six, while Ross Adair smashed a remarkable 100 runs from 58 deliveries, including 5 fours and 9 sixes, forming a substantial 137-run partnership. Although Patrick Kruger dismissed Stirling in the 13th over, Adair continued to add to the scoreboard.

Adair's innings concluded in the 17th over when Wiaan Mulder claimed his wicket. George Dockrell and Fionn Hand remained unbeaten, leading Ireland to a formidable total of 195/6 at the end of their 20 overs.

South Africa's pursuit was led by Ryan Rickelton and Reeza Hendricks, who made a 50-run partnership. However, Graham Hume broke this with Rickelton's wicket in the sixth over. Despite Hendricks' 51 runs and Matthew Breetzke's effort, South Africa fell short, reaching 185/9 after their 20 overs.

Mark Adair emerged as a standout bowler, taking four wickets for 31 runs in his four overs, complemented by Hume's three wickets for 25 runs. Ross Adair earned the 'Player of the Match' and 'Player of the Series' titles for his stellar performance in the T20Is against the Proteas.

Brief score: Ireland 195/6 (Ross Adair 100, Paul Stirling 52; Wiaan Mulder 2/51) vs South Africa 185/9 (Reeza Hendricks 51, Matthew Breetzke 51; Mark Adair 4/31). (ANI)
