Star Aussie batter Travis Head opened up on Australia's 49-run win over England in the fifth and final ODI match of the series, calling it a 'good opportunity' for him to score some runs. Head picked up four wickets in the match and also scored 31 runs from 26 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Head was awarded 'Player of the Match' and 'Player of the Series' for his outstanding performance throughout the series, which saw him amass 248 runs and take six wickets. Speaking at the post-match presentation, Head expressed his enjoyment of the team environment and his satisfaction with the win.

'Would have liked to go and play some better knocks in a couple of games, but it was a good opportunity. Moving really well, would like to add one good score,' Head said. Australia put England to bat first, and despite a solid opening partnership by Phil Salt and Ben Duckett, England were bundled out for 309 runs. Travis Head was the leading bowler for Australia with 4/28.

In the run-chase, Australia got off to a strong start with a 78-run partnership between Matthew Short and Head. Short scored a quick 58, while Steve Smith and Jos Inglis contributed vital runs before rain curtailed the match. Australia was declared winners by 49 runs according to the DLS method.
